While we celebrate social media every day, today is the fifth year of Mashable’s Social Media Day! Using #SMDay, Mashable has spearheaded the efforts generating global buzz about this ever-so-social Monday. #MCM has some competition this week.
When I first hear about SMDay a few months ago, I was excited to hear other social media enthusiasts wanted to create a day just for social media. A day to appreciate how social media began, where it is now and where the future is headed.
Last week, LinkedIn added a new app to its collection with the latest LinkedIn Jobs app for iOS and Android. After downloading the app, I’ve found it’s been both useful and easy to navigate. The simplicity and beauty of the app make it convenient to search, save and apply to posted jobs.

With an all-access pass and a BootCase iPhone charging case, I had no choice but live-tweet all day as I engaged with some CRM experts from around the world.
One amazing day down, one more exciting day to go! Continue reading
Just when you think they’ve thought of everything, social media masterminds surprise you. “Meet and Seat” is a flight seating program spearheaded by KLM Royal Dutch Airline in 2012 allowing travelers to pick who they sit next to based on details from their Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter profiles. Neat, right?
